Post-doctoral researcher at EML (II)
to investigate uranium reduction and fractionation by a variety of microorganisms
14.03.2017 - EML, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPDL), Lausanne (Switzerland)
The Environmental Microbiology Laboratory (EML) in the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering, EPFL, is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to investigate uranium reduction and fractionation by a variety of microorganisms.
The project deals with isotopic fractionation of uranium by microorganisms and the use of this biological signature in combination with other isotopic tools to identify specific microbial metabolic groups. The work will involve cultivation of a variety of organisms, protein purification, and running of microcosm experiments.
