Research Fellow in Multi-Scale Modelling

The succesful candidate will develop new multiscale mathematical models to understand how plants and soil interact. The job will be based at the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment, one of the UK’s most dynamic centres for engineering and environmental research and education.

The aim of the project is to combine multiscale modelling of two fluid flow (water and air) with the flow of multiple solutes that are undergoing binding reactions in the fluid phase whilst simultaneously accounting for all biotic effects such as microbial biodegradation, plant solute uptake and/or exudation and biophysical effects.The aim of the project is to combine multiscale modelling of two fluid flow (water and air) with the flow of multiple solutes that are undergoing binding reactions in the fluid phase whilst simultaneously accounting for all biotic effects such as microbial biodegradation, plant solute uptake and/or exudation and biophysical effects.
