  • Geodetic Earth system science: Interpreting geodetic data and remote sensing data for improving knowledge on the Earth system and its changes
  • Satellite geodesy: Analysis of satellite tracking and gravimetry data, orbits and reference frame
  • Sea Level Research: Analysis of present-day global and regional sea level variability, sea level budget studies
  • Physical Geodesy: Height determination, physical height systems, gravimetry
  • Hydrology from Space: Monitoring and understanding of large-scale hydrological changes using space mission data

Resources and technologies

  • Satellite gravimetry data analysis and interpretation: We have demonstrated experience in level 1/2 (instrument data to gravity parameters) and level 2/3 (gravity parameters to geophysical quantities) processing.
  • Radar altimetry data analysis: Standard altimetry processing and retracking of inland and coastal altimetry
  • Integration of geophysical/hydrological models and geodetic data: We have demonstrated experience with Ensemble Kalman Filter methods.
  • End-to-End simulation of space missions and data analysis: We have particiated in performance and scientific assessment studies for several missions, including orbit choice, integration, instrument and processor simulation.
  • Terrestrial gravimetry: We have a Scintrex CG-5 in our group. We have developed procedures for instrument calibration and adjustment of surveys.
