2026 ABC/J Research Award Ceremony

On 26 June 2026, the Geoverbund ABC/J held its Research Award ceremony for Early Career Scientists for the 16th time at the Universitätsclub Bonn. Despite the summer heat, the event was well attended.

Prof. Dr. Lothar Schrott, Scientific Director of the Geoverbund ABC/J, hosted the evening. The keynote, "Alpine Natural Hazards under Climate Change and Strategies for Rapid Adaptation," was delivered by Prof. Dr. Michael Krautblatter (Technical University of Munich).

The following winners were honored:

🥇 1st Place – Katharina Seeger (University of Cologne, Institute of Geography), Laudation: PD Dr. Dominik Brill
