New steering group member: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Susanne Glaser

We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr.-Ing. Susanne Glaser as a new member of our steering group. Prof. Glaser is a W3 professor of Geodetic Space Methods at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation at the University of Bonn, a position she has held since September 2023. With her expertise in the analysis and combination of geodetic space methods and terrestrial reference frames, she brings valuable knowledge to our network.

Prior to her appointment in Bonn, she was head of the ‘Combination of Geodetic Space Techniques’ working group at GFZ Potsdam from 2021 to 2023. Her scientific career also includes positions as a research assistant at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam and at the Technical University of Berlin, as well as a research stay at NASA's JPL in Pasadena. She received her doctorate in geodesy from the Technical University of Dresden in 2014.

Her research has been recognised with several awards, including the IAG (International Association of Geodesy) Young Author Award 2019 and the Best Presentation Award at the ION GNSS+ Conference 2018. In addition, Prof. Glaser is active in numerous international research committees and panels, including as co-convener of the IAG symposia and as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Geodesy.

We look forward to working with Prof. Glaser in the steering group and to the impetus she will bring to our work!
