Promoting innovation through spin-offs

The geosciences are playing an increasingly important role in solving the challenges of our world today. The Geoverbund ABC/J therefore also sees itself as a breeding ground for innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.

In the Geoverbund ABC/J, the close networking of experts and institutions from the geosciences enables the direct transfer of relevant research results into application. The spin-offs thus provide impulses for sustainable and future-oriented development in the geosciences - and beyond.

Terranigma Solutions was founded in March 2020 as a spin-off of the Institute for Computational Geoscience and Reservoir Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. The goal: to share technological expertise and bring scientific findings into practical application.

Today, Terranigma Solutions works with academic and industrial partners on innovative solutions for the geological modelling of tomorrow.

Terranigma Solutions offers services based on specialised expertise and many years of experience with open source, innovative technologies and scientific methods at the forefront of computational geoscience.

LiquidEarth

One cloud-based software solution developed by Terranigma Solutions is LiquidEarth. It enables experts to visualise, edit and communicate geological data and models in intuitive 3D and facilitates real-time collaboration across multiple devices - regardless of user locations.
